I am going to fly to Vietnam in about 3 weeks with my friends but I find it hard to get a visa to Vietnam because some of my friends who used to get visa from Vietnamese embassies told me that it took much time and a little bit complicated. Please give me advice as there are only 3 weeks left for my trip ! Thank you.

Another way for you to get visa without the intervention of embassies is ordering visa online (visa on approval). It saves time and money. You can access this website for more information http://www.vietnam-visa.com/
Good luck to your trip !

you can get a visa on arrival but you need to arrange it before hand with a copy of your passport, flight details, etc with a business in Vietnam. If you are going to Saigon, Phatman visa is good. Three weeks should be enough time to get your passport from the embassy if you live in the same city and can do hand to hand pick up and delivery.

We are looking to staying in Vietnam for about 3 weeks but we are travelling overland in to the country and all the visa information we can find is for people flying into the country. We would be entering the country from the South and flying out of Hanoi.
What would be the best way to get a visa as we are traveling around Australia at the moment?
Any advice would be helpful.

You got 3 weeks but I got only 1 day to get a visa to Vietnam. I made it online with Hotels-in- vietnam and they only charge 5$ more for urgent processing. I will book with them again when I back to Vietnam.

We understand that we can get a Vietnamese Visa Approval Letter before our departure from Canada to facilitate obtaining a visa upon arrival. However, I cannot get the cooperation of the Vietnamese Embassy in Canada to tell me how to go about getting the letter. At this time, we do not know our departure date and thus if the Letter has a validity period, I would like to know what it is as well as how to get it. Tom

For Vietnam Visa, you should apply for visa on arrival if you travel by air to Vietnam. So, the easiest and most simple way is to apply for visa on arrival (visa to be picked up at the arrival airport in Vietnam)! It's very quick and convenient, only takes 1 or 2 working days to get the visa approval letter by email and about 10 minutes at Vietnam airport to get your visa stamped your passport, the total fee (service fee and stamping fee) is about $45 for 1 month single visa.

For further information, kindly visit http://www.vietnam-visa.com/

Have a nice time in Vietnam!

My daughter is going travelling from November 2009 starting in India. In March she is going on a tour from Bangkok to Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam and between 8th March and 12th March needs to obtain Vietnam visa in Bangkok, will this be possible? Is it possible to get in 1 day? She is travelling with STA travel.

One question on the form that bothers me is "Approval from Immigration or Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Vietnam". How do you get this approval? What do they want to see?

She also needs to obtain a visa for China, on another tour with STA travel, and although she will be back in Bangkok from 11th April, departing again on 15th April, I have been informed that Chinese Embassy in Bangkok is closed for purblic holidays on 13th-15th April, so it looks like she needs to get both while she is there in March - what are the chances of realistically getting both given the tiny time constraint.

Your urgent help is requested as she is about to book the trip on Monday this week. Many thanks.

Hi there, i'm traveling to Vietnam at the start of December, i have arranged a visa on arrival, you have to email the Vietnam Visa Dept @ visa3@vietnam-immigration.org, tell them when you wish to travel they will ask for passport number etc, then you make a payment of $20 through paypal, then 2 days later you recieve your letter of invitation. with out this letter you will not be granted a visa.

Hope this is of some help

Hi all, I have been back from Vietnam and I am coming back next month. I am doing a business there and I am a regular Vietnam comer :) For every time I go, I ofter used the Vietnam Visa service online of http://vietnamvisa-online.com They are the best Visa service in Vietnam I must say. The supporter is really helpful, cordial and willing to share everything about Vietnam. It is a big luck for a foreigner like me entering Vietnam helped by this service, like my friends , I must say.

Jasmine - thanks for the info - are you aware of any other changes for nationals of USA, UK, South AFricam, Aus, NZ or Ireland?

Hi David: Thank you for your concerns to me!
Please kindly informed that at the moment, the passport holders of USA, UK, South AFricam, Aus, NZ or Ireland still need to apply for Vietnam Visa before entering the country.
I would like to give you the instruction on how to have your visa and other questions related to visa processing

1. In case you would like to travel by air

-You apply online at www.vietnamvisa-online.com for visa approval letter
- Receive your visa approval letter after 1working day (urgent service), and 2 or 3 working days (normal service) via email
- You print the letter out and bring it together with your photos + passport +some dollars pay the Vietnam Immigration Officer to get your visa stamped in arrival airport in Vietnam and pick up your visa there.

2. In case you travel by other ways (not travel by air)
You should apply for visa code (the visa to pick up at your nearest and most convenient Vietnam Embassy). There are two ways for you to get your visa code:
The first is you can apply at our site http://www.vietnamvisa-online.com , after 1 working day (urgent service ) and 2 working days (normal service), you receive the visa approval code by Vietnam Immigration Department. Then you print the code and bring it with you to Vietnam Embassy in the country you are living to stamp your visa quickly.
The second way is that you yourself go to Vietnam Embassy to apply for visa (Normally take 3 to 5 days). This way is more time consuming and complicated.
For more information, you can visit visit http://www.vietnamvisa-online.com !

Hope that the information is useful to you.!

Regards!

Jasmine
