We're considering Jamaica as a vacation destination in October. We have found, in our research, Jamaica can be WET and rainy during this time. :( Are we taking a big chance of being sorely disappointed by attempting a trip during this period?

As it is the end of the hurricane season so it might be a bit wet & windy. I would recommend to go to Jamaica in January- April. Not too hot and the weather is great. Perfect time to go.

We've have trip#7 to Jamaica in October, we always go mid-October and other than the standard afternoon showers, we've only had one trip where it rained all week in 2005 when Hurricane Wilma was passing by the island.
We think it's a great time to go, no spring breakers and other kids are in school. Not many people vacation in October.
Enjoy!
