Indianapolis International Airport (IND)

Location: The airport is located just seven miles (11 km) from downtown Indianapolis.Time: GMT –5 (GMT –4 from March to November).Contacts: Tel: +1 317 487 9594. Getting to the city: The Ground Transportation Center, located on the lower level of the parking garage, offers connections to shuttles, hotel courtesy vehicles, limousines and the IndyGo bus service. The IndyGo Green Line Downtown/Airport Express route offers direct service from the airport to various downtown locations. It runs daily from 5am to 9pm and costs $7 per trip. During rush-hour catch the IndyGo Commuter Express from Fishers and Carmel to downtown Indianapolis ($3 one way). Taxi services are available on the first floor of the parking garage. Numerous limousine operators offer luxury transport into the city.Car rental: All rental car counters are located at the Ground Transportation Center. Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Thrifty offer services. Airport Taxis: For taxi services walk across the Pedestrian Bridge from the terminal and go to the Ground Transportation Center on the first floor of the parking garage. All taxis are metered although there is a $15 minimum charge for all aiport fares. Tipping is expected. Facilities: Facilities at the airport include a food court, concourse restaurants, shops and a guest services centre (offering a lost and found, visitor information and business services). There is also a bureau de change and ATMs, a games room, barber shop, shoe shine and petrol station within the airport grounds. Parking: Parking options range from curbside valet and short-term parking within walking distance, to lots with free shuttle service.
